The EEG Field Technologist plays a critical role in the collection and recording of Video EEG data in the patient’s home. This position involves traveling to patient locations for setting up and disconnecting studies within a specified radius. All studies are set up according to the international 10-20 system of electrode placement with the goal of high-quality data acquisition for the duration of the ordered study, allowing for accurate analysis and diagnosis. Field technologists are responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting ambulatory EEG equipment as well as providing detailed file management and the timely upload of study files. The field technologist works closely with management, monitoring technologists and patients to facilitate smooth testing procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Attention to detail and adherence to protocols are essential to ensure high quality studies are performed for patients to receive accurate diagnosis.
